Once again we find that the triple-core Phenom X3 processors scale very well, this time in CATIA where they were only slightly slower than their X4 counterparts. The Core 2 Duo E8400 was significantly faster than the rest of the pack however.

The Phenom X3 does quite well in ProE, matching the performance of the Core 2 Quad Q6600. In fact they were also able to match the Core 2 Duo E8400 in the second ProE test, though the E8400 did have a significant performance advantage in the first test.
