The power consumption of the VisionTek Radeon HD 3870 X2 is typical for that of a Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics card, which makes it slightly more efficient than a GeForce 9800 GX2.


As you can see, the upgraded cooler of the VisionTek Radeon HD 3870 X2 is certainly worth its weight in gold, reducing idle temps by 30%.

Stress temperatures were also reduced by 27%, allowing the VisionTek card to operate at just 60 degrees when under full load, rather than the 82 degrees it would otherwise operate at with the standard cooler.
